Emergency vet services on the Isle of Wight

The experienced vets working at Vectis Equine Vets provide the highest levels of emergency care for horses, donkeys and ponies. We are equipped with high-quality mobile diagnostic machines which help us to meet all emergency requirements throughout the Isle of Wight.

Each year we provide veterinary cover for the Isle of Wight Grand National and Ashey Scurry and the Memorial Ploughing Match. In 2018 we were delighted to provide veterinary cover at the inaugural Osborne Horse Trials featuring some of the worlds top event riders.

Put your trust in our 24-hour equine vets

Our vets are fully equipped to handle any routine work or emergency as the need arises. We have a fully mobile digital x-ray system, portable ultrasound machine and portable endoscope. While routine appointments are available from Monday to Friday, our emergency services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Feed supplements

There is an array of feed supplements now available online and in tack shops claiming to contain medicinal properties. It is advisable not to buy such products without your vet's consent as such products do not have legislation over their actual quality and content.
At Vectis Equine Vets, we stock quality optimal supplements, including hoof supplements, probiotics, joint supplements and tonics for horses recovering from illness or surgery. These supplements have been made to the same manufacturing standards as veterinary drugs and are of guaranteed quality and content.
With our latest facilities and experienced vets, we can deal with all types of veterinary issues round the clock.
